Samsung W25 based on Z Fold Special Edition and W25 Flip pictured in leaked images | Infinium-tech
Every year, Samsung launches its foldables in the Chinese market under the W-series. They are mostly identical to the Z-series, except for a few design mods to make them more attractive to local buyers, a fancy retail box for a higher price and, usually, more RAM and storage than the Z-models.
The upcoming Samsung W25 will be a little more special – it will be based on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition that is currently only available in South Korea. This means a larger cover and internal display (6.5” and 8.0” vs. 6.3” and 7.6” on the regular Z Fold6), but without S Pen support, as well as a 200MP main camera (replacing the 50MP unit).

In terms of design, the Samsung W25 is black with golden highlights along with metallic edges and a camera bump, as is the style of the W-series. Instead of the usual smooth metal finish, there is a pattern on the edges as well.
Samsung also makes a clamshell foldable for the W-series. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will be used as the base for the Samsung W25 Flip as there is no special edition for it.
Samsung W25 Flip • W25 Flip Retail Package
Samsung China sells the regular Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 if you prefer. The W24 (based on last year’s Z Fold5) is currently priced at CNY 13,000 for the 16GB/1TB model, while the Z Fold6 is priced at CNY 14,000 for the 12GB/512GB model and CNY 16,000 for the 12GB/1TB option. Of course, this was a year after the W24 first came out, it was originally priced at CNY 16,000.
And apart from the extra RAM and attractive looks, there are many reasons to choose a W-foldable over a Z-foldable. Look at that retail package, it has a charger and a case. Now that’s a luxury. Of course, we’re kidding, but the W25 Flip also comes with a charger and case, which is more than can be said about the barebones Z Flip6 retail package.
