Samsung to hold another developer conference in November, might show One UI 7.0 | Infinium-tech
Samsung unveiled One UI 6 last year at the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23). However, One UI 7 continues to be delayed and won’t launch until next year, likely alongside the Galaxy S25 series. So, this year’s SDC focused on other things. But we may still get to see what Samsung is preparing – the company has just announced that another SDC will be held later this year.
Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024 will be an online event on November 21. You can already sign up official siteif you are interested. There will be two keynote speeches and a total of 29 sessions where Samsung will share its progress in on-device generative AI, the future of healthcare and how Samsung Health fits in, bringing Matter Protocol to the SmartThings platform and other areas.
What about One UI? The press release doesn’t mention it by name, but a keynote speech will focus on “improving the user experience of Samsung Electronics’ software and device platforms” and will be led by Jeong Jae-yeon, vice president of Samsung Electronics Device Platform Center and Samsung Research . Executive Director Kwon Ho-beom. It looks like we may be getting a preview of One UI 7 or at least being told when public beta testing will begin.
One UI 7 will bring a brand new look to Samsung’s Android skin and it’s a major redesign, which is why it’s taking so long. Yesterday, we saw an unofficial video that shows some of the upcoming changes.
