Samsung is already working on Galaxy A18 firmware builds | Infinium-tech
Samsung is currently working on the Galaxy A18 4G, in fact the company is already developing test firmware for the device as you can see in the screenshot below which has been generated on Samsung’s test servers for Europe.
The model number of the phone will be SM-A185F. Interestingly, since Samsung is using SHA256 hashes instead of the older MD5 format for these builds, the Galaxy A18 4G may launch with One UI 9 from day one.

If that’s the case, it will only become official in late summer or fall, as One UI 9 is expected to debut on the company’s next-generation foldables next month. For what it’s worth, the Galaxy A17 4G was launched in September of 2025, so that could be the month its successor arrives as well.
Earlier, in August 2025, Samsung launched a 5G variant of the Galaxy A17, and we expect the Galaxy A18 to have a 5G enabled option as well. It remains to be seen whether it will launch even before the A18 4G.
