Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s width and screen size tipped | Infinium-tech
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to officially arrive in January, but it’s already garnering quite a bit of buzz, with many rumors suggesting it will be rounder than the palm-nipping Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Today, one of the main sources of all these rumors, which goes by the name of Ice Universe On X, has shared another interesting tidbit. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will apparently have a better screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor, and its display will also have a lower aspect ratio.
What’s the biggest problem with the S24 Ultra design?
The biggest drawback is that the horizontal screen-to-body ratio is too low. The body width is 79mm, of which only 72.3mm is the screen, and the remaining 6.7mm is all frame and middle frame, which makes the hand feel a bit uncomfortable. pic.twitter.com/YjCVWgWeKi— Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) August 16, 2024
These two aspects combined with the rounded corners mean the S25 Ultra will be much more enjoyable to hold in the hand for long periods of time than the S24 Ultra.
Of course, this comes at the cost of instant recognisability – the S24 Ultra’s sharp edges make it very easy to recognise from the outside, while the shape of its successor will make it less recognisable and look like a normal Android smartphone from a distance.
