Samsung has finalized the Galaxy S26 series camera specs, minor changes await | Infinium-tech
Samsung has not introduced several important upgrade in the camera hardware of its major Galaxy S series since the Galaxy S21 series, and it appears that the Galaxy S26 family will not be separated. According to a Korean news outlet, the company is not planning any major changes in all three upcoming Galaxy S26 phones next year.
A quick reminder that according to the latest rumors, like Apple, is planning to replace the Samsung Plus model with an age, which means that the Galaxy S26+ will not be anymore. The vanilla S26 will probably be called the S26 Pro, however, which will allegedly have an accurate similar camera hardware: a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto camera and a 12MP ultravide shooter.
On the other hand, the S26 Edge will maintain the primary camera of 200MP, but the 12MP ultravide shooter will hit 50MP. This will probably be used on this year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, although we did not find any meaningful changes in the ultravide camera in our review.
Unfortunately, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not get any camera upgrade. We are expecting upgrade to small 10MP sensors used for at least 3x telephoto.
This is not to say that image quality will not improve. Samsung can try to extract the best possible image quality from its current hardware for another year, using AI Smart and Other Software Enhancement.
