Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 breaks pre-order record | Infinium-tech
If you really upgrade a device on your predecessors meaningfully, a lot of people wanted it – who knew? This is the lesson that Samsung has now learned with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
After many years and after allowing Chinese foldables to defeat their top of the line that introduced their tops, Samsung actually tried with Fold 7 this year – and succeeded. The company has now announced that the phone has broken the pre-order record in the US.

Samsung has seen the highest number of pre-order for book-style foldable. Pre-ordered jumped more than 25% in total last year, while carrier partners jumped a more large scale for fold 7 and Flip 7 to 60%.
The pair became available last week, and in the first week of availability, the previous generation has continued to carry more than 25% jointly. Fold 7 is actually making its predecessor better than about 50%.
Interestingly, the blue shadow colorway created about half of the pre-order of fold 7, which proves Samsung that people do not just want black and silver foldables. For FLIP7, coral red color has exceeded expectations, making 25% pre-order. Samsung says, these color trends “are stable through the first week of availability”.
