Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 teardown video shows off the larger batteries and the new vapor chamber | Infinium-tech
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 features a number of significant improvements over the Z Flip5. Some of these are very simple such as using a 50MP sensor in the main camera. Others required some changes. For example, the 2024 model has a larger combined battery capacity of 4,000mAh compared to the Z Flip5’s 3,700mAh.
It is split into two cells – a 2,870mAh main cell and a secondary cell with 1,130mAh capacity. The Z Flip5 battery was split into a 2,700mAh main and a 1,000mAh secondary cell, so the 2024 model managed to pack more capacity into each. You can check them out here PBKReviews’ Teardown video, here are some screen grabs from that:

Another big improvement this year is the addition of a vapor chamber to cool the chipset. It’s quite large — it’s supposed to be bigger than the one inside the S24 Ultra. It’s still not big enough, though, as in our review we saw terrible performance under sustained load (to be fair, flip foldables usually struggle with this, vapor chamber or not).

Now take a look at the video:
Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 got a slightly higher repairability score than the Z Flip5. The difference is in how easy it is to repair the screen. The addition of particle protection (part of the IP48 rating) could have easily made things more difficult.
