Samsung Galaxy S26 series to mark a return to Exynos | Infinium-tech
Samsung hasn’t even announced the Galaxy S25 family yet and here we are already talking about the Galaxy S26 series, which is likely to be released in January of 2026. Still, a new rumor from a tipster on X claims that Samsung is aiming to “significantly” equip the S26 line with Exynos chips.
This follows a rumor of a failure to do so for the S25 models due to yield issues for the Exynos 2500, which was supposed to power them in most markets. Thus, rumor has it that the S25 line will go with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite almost everywhere, if not everywhere, while the Exynos 2500, which has finally made its mark in the last few days, is expected to power the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Will be pushed into the galaxy. Z Flip FE instead.
Apparently, Samsung hopes that the (presumed) Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 generation will not face the same production problems as its predecessor and thus help reduce the company’s dependence on Qualcomm at a higher level.
Of course, please heed the general advice – this is an unconfirmed rumor at this time, so it may be completely fabricated. However, this doesn’t make sense from a business perspective for Samsung.
Previous S26-related rumors claimed that the vanilla model could be removed, the S26 Ultra could be called the S26 Note, and the S26+ could be named the S26 Pro.
