Samsung Galaxy S26 series to be lighter and thinner than predecessors | Infinium-tech
Last week, we saw a report for the dimensions of the Galaxy S26, which suggested that the base model would come in at 149.5 x 71.6 x 7.24 mm. Another recent post from the tipster universeice Turns out the device will indeed be thinner, coming in at 6.9mm, making it 0.3mm thinner than its predecessor. The base S26 is also expected to weigh 164 grams, which is 2 grams more than the S25.
Galaxy S25 and S25+
The post also includes a comparison of the prices of the S26 Plus and Ultra models as well as their iPhone 17 series counterparts. The S26 Plus/Pro models will measure 7.3 mm thick and weigh 191 grams, which are almost the same numbers as the Galaxy S25+ that made its debut in January. Both the S26 and S26+/Pro will be 13 grams lighter and more than 1 mm thinner than their iPhone 17 series counterparts.
The S26 Ultra is expected to be 7.9 mm thick and weigh 214 grams, making the upcoming top-tier flagship 0.3 mm thinner and 4 grams lighter than the S25 Ultra. The difference is even more striking when compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, where the Galaxy 17 will be lighter and 0.85mm thinner.
