Samsung Galaxy S26 series’ display won’t get a brightness boost, tipster claims | Infinium-tech
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series smartphones, which will be officially launched in January 2026, will feature displays that will be no brighter than their predecessors.
The term comes from a trusted tipster universeiceThat said, the peak brightness of the Galaxy S26 series is 2,600 nits – the same as the Galaxy S25 lineup. If this is true, then it is not a good move by Samsung as we have some Chinese flagships in the market that are much flashier.
Today we are not talking about the camera, we are talking about the display. From what I’ve learned specifically, the Galaxy S26 series still caps out at 2600 nits peak brightness, including the S26 Ultra. This is not a good sign. The brightness of the display has remained unchanged for several days… pic.twitter.com/ahG5azJiAE

As for the display material, the tipster said they are “basically confident” that Samsung will adopt the M14 material, but it is unclear whether the display will support 10-bit color and PWM high-frequency dimming.
As a Samsung leaker, I am basically sure that it will adopt M14 material and poleless screen technology, but I cannot guarantee that it will adopt 10 bit technology and PWM high-frequency dimming. I advise you not to be too optimistic. https://t.co/WicBrzvunb

The Galaxy S26 lineup is rumored to include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Ultra model will get wired charging boost from 45W to 60W, while wireless charging will be 25W. This is 10W faster than the S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are also rumored to get 15W to 20W fast wireless charging. This isn’t a huge leap, so it remains to be seen how much of a difference it will make in real-world use.
