Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge won’t be getting a significant battery upgrade after all | Infinium-tech
Even though the Galaxy S25 Edge was released a few months ago, the Galaxy S26 Age rumor mill started spinning as the latest evidence suggests that the successor would launch the rest of the S26 phone, possibly replacing the plus model.

The latest Chinese 3C regulatory bodies listed the battery details of the Galaxy S26 Edge, refuting the previous rumors about a potential battery upgrade. According to the 3C listing, the Samsung lithium-ion will stick to the battery technique and will not infection for another year in the silicone-carbon battery.
Most contestants are already changing silicon-carbon batteries because they provide high energy density, allow either for large batteries in the same form factor or reduce the size of the phone completely.
Nevertheless, Samsung will offer a slight capacity bump from 3,900 mAh to 4,200 mAh this year. This will definitely promote battery endurance, but we are still somewhat disappointed because if Samsung had changed the silicon-carbon, we might have seen a battery that is about 5,000 mAh.
