Redmi Watch 5 Lite arrives with an AMOLED screen, Bluetooth calling, and GPS | Infinium-tech
Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Watch 5 Activ last month and today, the brand introduced the Redmi Watch 5 Lite.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite looks similar to the Watch 5 Active but has an always-on AMOLED display instead of an LCD. It measures 1.96″ diagonally and is brighter with 600 nits peak brightness. It also has a higher resolution (502×410 pixels) and supports 200+ cloud watch faces, of which 50+ are customizable and 30+ are always-on (AOD).
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite runs on HyperOS and is compatible with smartphones running Android 6 or iOS 12 and above. It comes with Alexa and has support for emojis and Hindi language. Apart from this, it supports Bluetooth calling and has a speaker and two microphones for environmental noise cancellation (ENC) to facilitate clear calls.
For health and fitness tracking, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite has a heart rate sensor and supports 150+ indoor and outdoor sports modes. It can also track swimming performance as it has 5 ATM water resistance.
Rest of the key highlights of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite include a multi-functional side button, in-built GPS, SpO2 sensor, and Bluetooth 5.3. The smartwatch packs a 470mAh battery that offers up to 18 days of battery life under normal usage and up to 12 days under heavy usage.
The dial of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite weighs 29.2 grams without the strap, which is made of TPU and can be adjusted in length from 135-200mm. The smartwatch comes in black and light gold colors, while the straps come in candy pink, mint green and lemon yellow colors.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite is priced at Rs 3,999 ($50/€40) and will go on sale in India starting midnight on September 26 via Xiaomi’s Indian website.
