Realme’s 320W SuperSonic Charge tech detailed, fully charges the battery in under 5 minutes | Infinium-tech

Realme today detailed the 320W charging technology that it has been teasing for the past few days. It is called 320W Supersonic Charge and is the world’s fastest smartphone charging technology.

Realme said that this 320W Supersonic Charge technology fully charges the smartphone’s battery in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. It fills the cell up to 26% in a minute and takes less than two minutes to charge beyond 50%.

Realme’s 320W charging tech is slightly faster than Redmi’s 300W tech, which fully charged a 4,000 mAh battery in 4 minutes and 55 seconds. However, Realme hasn’t revealed which cell sizes it tested its 320W tech with, so we’ll have to wait to know which tech is actually faster.

Realme revealed that the 320W power adapter is called “Pocket Cannon”, and its power density is 3.3W/cm3 While in size it is similar to Realme’s 240W charger.

Realme also said that the Power Cannon supports mainstream charging protocols, including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC. It also has two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging – 150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.

In addition, Realme also introduced the “AirGap” voltage transformer at today’s event. It features contact-free electromagnetic conversion for smartphones, ensuring that the high voltage is isolated from the battery during a fault such as a circuit breakdown and a risk-free charging experience.

Realme says this transformer is smaller than the tip of a finger and reduces the voltage to 20V to protect the battery. This helps maintain “exceptional conversion efficiency and thermal management”, enabling the 320W Supersonic Charge to achieve a power efficiency of around 98%.

In addition to the 320W supersonic charge, Realme has also introduced a 4,420 mAh foldable battery. It consists of four cells, each less than 3mm thick, and offers a 10% increase in capacity compared to a traditional design. Does this mean that Realme is preparing to launch a foldable device? We hope to find out soon.

However, Realme’s event wasn’t just limited to battery and charging. The brand also introduced solid-state buttons and anti-reflective displays for smartphones.

The solid-state button has sliding functionality for seamless operation and offers intuitive touch controls for instant zoom and quick clicks, giving the feel of a dedicated camera on the phone.

The anti-reflective display, on the other hand, is inspired by the moth’s eye structure and reduces reflections by up to 80%, giving a paper-like texture for comfortable viewing in bright sunlight. It also provides clear visibility even at low brightness levels and reduces power consumption.

Additionally, Realme talked about AI Motion Picture technology and AI Gaming Super Resolution. The AI Motion Picture technology is powered by NEXT AI and turns a single image into a dynamic 25-frame video, while the AI Gaming Super Resolution technology uses on-device AI to deliver smooth, clear visuals. There is also Realme Holo Audio that gives you an immersive gaming experience by letting you adjust the sound positioning to ensure that incoming call alerts don’t interrupt your gaming focus.
