Realme GT 8 series release date revealed, performance and battery details teased | Infinium-tech
Realme has officially revealed when we can expect the Realme GT 8 series. The Chinese launch is scheduled for October 21 at 3:00 PM local time. Apart from the release date, Realme has also teased some impressive specifications.
Unfortunately, the teaser only talks about the GT8 Pro, so we don’t know which features will transfer to the vanilla GT8 as well. In any case, the Pro is expected to come with a bigger battery, new charging capabilities, and a slimmer and lighter body.

The GT8 Pro’s battery will be upgraded from 6,500 mAh to 7,000 mAh in the GT 7 Pro, while retaining the super-fast 120W wired charging. This time, the GT 8 Pro also features faster wireless charging, rated at 50W and 10W reverse wireless charging. Bypass charging is also on the features list.
Realme also reminds us that the GT8 Pro can play nice with other non-proprietary charging standards. For example, the Pro will support 50W PPS PD, 44W UFCS, and 36W PD.
Interestingly, despite having a larger battery and wireless charging coil, the phone will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, weighing 214 grams and measuring 8.2 mm thick.
When it comes to performance, the GT8 Pro will, of course, run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5. In fact, we have already tested the prototype in our office showing impressive performance.
The chipset will be paired with a custom dedicated R1 gaming display chip. This is not the first time Realme has used such a chip, but this time it is more capable. It can simultaneously perform Super Resolution rendering and frame rate boost, allowing you to enjoy games at QHD resolution when using a 144Hz refresh rate display. The chip is said to be optimized for certain games and supports high refresh rate gaming in some titles like Valorant Mobile, Delta Action, and Arena Breakout.
