Realme Buds Clip unboxing and hands-on | Infinium-tech
2025 looks like the year of Open Wear Stereo (OWS) earbuds. Almost every brand has released a pair, and now we’re ready to give you a tour and our first impressions of the recently announced Realme Buds Clip. But why did these types of buds go mainstream? It mostly depends on how they fit.

How the earbuds fit in your ears is arguably the most important factor to consider when choosing a new pair. While traditional buds stick with the tried and tested silicone eartip approach, our ears come with their own unique shape, and there’s no way to create a one-size-fits-all solution. Many users complain of discomfort with in-ear buds, and that’s why we have alternative designs like the buds clip.

Realme’s first OWS wraps around the helix of your ear and places the speaker above your ear canal without physical contact. This creates a more comfortable fit without blocking airflow or creating pressure in your ear.
From a distance, the Realme Buds Clip could easily be mistaken for earrings, especially in their Titanium Gold color, which is what we have here. There’s also the DIY aspect if you’re interested in styling. You can place charms and other small decorative items for a more personalized look.
Retail packaging includes the buds, charging case, and a user guide.

Each earbud weighs only 5.3 grams, and its contoured design and great weight balance make it disappear as soon as you place it on the ear. These seem like the kind of earbuds that would make a great companion for long distance running. The buds clip are also IP55 dust and water resistant, so they can handle rainy days well.

The buds are equipped with clip-on 11mm dual-magnet drivers, and feature Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Realme is also bringing its NextBass algorithm, which claims to boost bass response. We were impressed with the sound coming from the buds’ clip. They felt lively and we even felt some bass, but there was also some noticeable sound leakage due to the open-ear design which is equivalent to an open-ear form factor.

Sadly, you only get SBC and AAC codec support here without the higher bitrate LDAC option. Realme, on the other hand, has included 3D spatial audio, which is good for watching movies. You also get dual device connectivity for seamless switching between two audio sources.
Realme claims that you can expect up to 36 hours of battery life from the Buds Clip. That’s 7 hours from the earbuds at 50% volume and 5 full recharges from the 530mAh battery inside the charging case.
And that’s all the key information about Realme Buds Clip. They seem to be a great option for runners who want increased awareness while running in the city. Their great fit and lightweight design seem to be a great choice for users who prioritize comfort.
