Qualcomm is making its Snapdragon X computer chips compatible with Android | Infinium-tech
Qualcomm has recently entered the computer chip arena with the Snapdragon X series, and the latest Snapdragon X2 chips were unveiled in September. These are expected to appear in Windows laptops starting in spring 2026.
But now it looks like they just won’t be included windows Laptop. Qualcomm has started work on supporting Android for its X series chips, which means Android computers are on the horizon.
Rumor: It appears that Android computers are on the way.

With Google planning to merge ChromeOS with Android, it certainly makes sense. It will be interesting to see what a standardized Android build will look like for laptops, but we can’t wait to find out – that space has been out of date for a very long time.
And while Qualcomm has seen some success with its Snapdragon X chips powering Windows devices, putting Android on laptops certainly has the potential to change the game significantly. Hopefully Google gets it right in terms of user interface and user experience – adding this support for Qualcomm probably isn’t complicated at all, so the software experience will make or break it.
