Qualcomm confirms key details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 | Infinium-tech
Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Jean 5 flagship SOC at the recently concluded Snapdragon Summit, which was held at Maui, Hawaii. Along with this, the chipmaker also introduced Snapdragon 8 General 5, which was “developed to give you more options and flexibility, while still flagship features.” While Qualcomm did not expand Snapdragon 8 General 5, it has shared important details about the chip.
Like Snapdragon 8 Elite Jean 5, Snapdragon 8 gene is also built on a 3Nm process, and we are talking about a custom Oryan CPU here, with a maximum frequency of 3.32GHz with prime core 3.8GHz and performance core.
Keeping in mind the choice of Qualcomm’s words, it appears to be an octa-core CPU of Snapdragon 8 General 5, 1+7 will come in configuration, which means that a prime core and seven performance core, unlike Snapdragon 8 Elite Gene 5, which have two prime core which are up to 4.6Gz and six performance core.
The brand also said that Snapdragon 8 General 5 has an “next-gene” adreno GPU, a “powerful” NPU, and a “superior AI-ISP operated camera”, but it’s too much, so we have to wait till the end of this year to know all about Snapdragon 8 General 5 SoC.
