Poco M7 Plus introduced with 7,000 mAh battery | Infinium-tech
Poco has launched a new budget smartphone called Poco M7 Plus 5G in India. It is the latest M series phone and succeeds M6 Plus, which began in August 2024.
The Poco M7 Plus has a huge 7,000 mAh silicone-carbon battery with support for 33W charging and 18W reverse charging. According to the recent trend of brands avoiding the “sleevest” phone in specific categories, Poco claims that the M7 Plus is the thinnest handset with a 7,000 mAh battery, which measures just 8.4 mm.
Poco’s new M series phone has a 6.9-inch full HD+ LCD which refreshes at 144Hz. It has 550 Nits of Peak Brightness, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display has a punch-hole cutout for the 8 MP front camera.
The M7 Plus is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6s General 3 SoC, combined with RAM and 128 GB storage up to 8 GB. Thankfully, the phone gets a microSD slot up to 2TB for storage expansion.
It has a dual rear camera setup with 50 MP primary sensor and an unknown secondary unit. You get a couple of AI features such as AI Dynamic Shots, AI Eraser and AI Sky Replacement. The phone runs Android 15-based hyper OS and promises to receive two years OS updates with a four-year security patch. Google is also giving Gemini on the Poco device.

The Poco M7 Plus 5G offers an IP64 rating, an side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and a weight of 217g. This Aqua is available for purchase in India in Blue, Carbon Black and Chrome Silver Colors. Prices start at the INR 13,999 ($ 160) for the 6 GB/128 GB model, while the cost of 8 GB/128 GB variants is INR 14,999 ($ 170). The phone will go on sale in India from August 19.
