Patents show Samsung’s tri-fold has three batteries | Infinium-tech
Samsung will launch its first tri-fold smartphone this year, but the brand has not yet revealed its launch date. And while we wait for more information from Samsung about this smartphone, which is rumored to be called the Galaxy Z Trifold, a patent document published by KIPRIS has revealed that the tri-fold will pack three batteries.
Since it is a tri-folding smartphone, it has three sections, each housing a battery cell. The sketch, shown below and included in the patent document, shows that the smallest battery (T1) is housed inside the segment housing the triple rear cameras, while the second largest battery (T3) is inside the segment packing the cover display. The largest battery (T2) is inside the segment that will be sandwiched between the other two when the trifold is folded.

The document doesn’t specify individual or total battery capacity or charging speeds, but we expect it to be better than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which came with a smaller 4,400 mAh battery and a modest 25W wired charging support (compared to competitors).
