OnePlus 15 in for review | Infinium-tech
Today we have the new OnePlus 15, which is the company’s flagship in 2026. Although we can’t share any opinions or performance figures today, we can demonstrate the design with some sample images taken from the camera.

The OnePlus 15 comes in the standard red OnePlus packaging, which now loses the big standalone numbers on the box to say the full name of the phone, as we saw with the 13s. The packaging pictured here is what you will get if you buy the phone in India. This means you get the phone, a 120W fast charger with a cable, and a color-matching soft silicone case. In markets like the EU and US, you will only find the cable inside a very thin box.

The bundled case is nice enough, but OnePlus will also sell three first-party cases for the phone. It includes a hole-pattern magnetic case. This case is reminiscent of a different kind of case – a computer case, actually – from brands like DeepCool and Cooler Master, which have a similar square hole design and colorful bits that you can insert into them to create custom patterns. The case also came with a bunch of red rubber squares that you can plug into the holes, and they stick out a bit when attached, adding a bit of tactility. The case has fewer rubber bits than holes, so you can’t plug them all in.

There’s a MagSafe-like magnetic coil inside this case, which lets you attach magnetic chargers, including OnePlus’s own AIRVOOC 50W Magnetic Charger. And if you intend to use a magnetic charger with the phone, you’ll need this or one of the other two OnePlus magnetic cases, as the OnePlus 15 itself doesn’t have a magnet.

Coming back to the phone, the OnePlus 15 has a revised design for this generation, an evolution of what we saw with the OnePlus 13s. Both phones adopt the new squared-off camera island design. The camera island resembles a miniature version of the phone, with flat edges and more rounded corners than previous generation designs.

Side by side, they look like two evolutions of the same Pokémon. Of course, 15 is much bigger than 13.

Speaking of evolution, you can also see how the design has evolved over the past two generations of flagship mainline OnePlus phones. The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 13 now feature distinctive circular camera designs with intricate details, beautifully polished aluminum frames between flowing glass panels and very tight corner radii.

Sitting here shining in the sun, the 12 and 13 look every bit like a flagship as they billed themselves as. And then there’s… well, let’s just say, it’s probably best that opinions aren’t allowed today, at least as far as this writer is concerned.

OnePlus 15 runs on the new OxygenOS 16 built on top of the latest Android 16. It includes new animations, improved performance, new lock screen effects, and a new set of AI features. To know more about it, check out our hands-on review here.

The phone comes with a triple 50MP camera system on the back, but without the Hasselblad branding of the previous five generations. Instead, OnePlus is using its DetailMax engine. A lot has already been said about the cameras, and there will be a lot more to say in the coming days, but for now, let’s take a look at some camera samples.
This should wrap up the process of taking a first look at the phone. We’ll have a full review with all the details in the coming days, including the much-awaited camera comparison with the OnePlus 13. Stay tuned for that.
