OnePlus 13 arrives with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 6,000 mAh battery | Infinium-tech
OnePlus has always prioritized having the latest and greatest chipsets in its flagship phones and it has wasted no time in announcing the OnePlus 13 with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite. The best OnePlus phone yet also has a flagship BOE display, an IP69 ingress protection rating, and a big 6,000 mAh Silicon Carbon battery.
While the OnePlus 13 has been launched in China first, it will be released in global markets in the coming months.
Starting with the screen, the OnePlus 13 ditches the curves of its predecessors and moves to a 2.5D quad-curved structure. The display looks flat, but it has subtle curves all over. As a result, the OnePlus 13 is slightly smaller than its predecessor, while still having a diagonal of 6.82 inches.
BOE’s flagship X2 OLED display is available in OnePlus 13. It is an 8T LTPO OLED panel with 1440p resolution and 1-120 Hz refresh rate. Typical brightness is now rated at 800 nits, while peak brightness stands at 4,500 nits. The other new addition is the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
OnePlus is bringing an updated IP69 rating, which is becoming a trend on Chinese flagships. It takes the IP68 rating up a notch by including support against high-pressure fluids and steam cleaning.
Another under-the-radar addition is the new vibration motor with “gaming controller level feedback.” With its 602mm³ volume, OnePlus claims it is the largest vibration motor ever placed in an Android phone.
The rear of the OnePlus 13 features a trio of Hasselblad-branded 50MP cameras. The main 23mm equivalent shooter uses a Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS. It is attached to a 3x periscope (LYT-600) with 73 mm equivalent focal range. The third shooter is a 15mm equivalent ultrawide cam using Samsung’s S5KJN5 sensor that also serves as a macro shooter.
The OnePlus 13 boots ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 for the Chinese market, while international units are expected to launch with OxygenOS 15.
The spec sheet features a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The OnePlus 13 comes in white, obsidian and blue. Prices start in China CNY 4,499 ($632) For 12/256GB version and above CNY 5,999 ($842) For the 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model.
Open sales in China will begin on November 1, while international availability details will be revealed later.
