nubia Z80 Ultra in for review | Infinium-tech
Every year, Nubia releases its top flagship phone with an advanced design and exclusive camera features. And every time, Nubia brings a flagship to the global stage, bless it!
This year, we have the Nubia Z80 Ultra, and although it may look similar on the outside, it is a far superior smartphone than its predecessors!
The Z70 Ultra had a 6,150mAh battery with 80W wired charging, the Nubia Z80 Ultra has a 7,200mAh Si/C unit with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.

Being a Nubia, it has an under-display camera for a seamless display experience. Unless you’re actively using the camera, you’ll never be able to see the hardware underneath the pixels! Here we come up with the magic of photo editing to make it more visible, with a macro lens and a little hassle.
The display also looks the same, which is not a bad thing. You’re looking at a 6.85-inch OLED panel with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz.
The Nubia Z80 Ultra is similar to the RedMagic 11 Pro. Although it lacks the liquid cooling of phones, it has both a vapor chamber and liquid metal on the chipset.

While the RedMagic is a completely gaming-focused device with the idea of shoulder triggers and a camera system, the cameras on the Nubia Z80 Ultra are the main focus.
The formula for the 35mm, 70mm and 18mm lenses has not changed. But the hardware has become better. The 70mm zoom has the same half-inch sensor size but a slightly brighter f/2.4 lens.
The 18mm ultrawide got a big bump from a 1/2.88-inch to a 1/1.55-inch imager. The main camera removes the variable aperture lens, but compensates for it with a notable sensor increase – from 1/1.56-inch to a custom 1/1.3-inch.
All the changes should improve all-round imaging prowess, which we’ll be testing thoroughly soon.

Before we start the review, a word on the unboxing experience. The Nubia Z80 Ultra comes with a case and a USB cable, which is quite good by current standards.
