New rumor claims the iPhone Fold will have a different name | Infinium-tech
After years of speculation, Apple’s first foldable smartphones are widely rumored to arrive this autumn with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. One thing we’re essentially still speculating about is the name of the device. We’ve been calling it the iPhone Fold, but today a new rumor from China claims it will actually be called the iPhone Ultra.
Not only that, but it will be part of a trio of Ultra-branded products that Apple is going to unveil later this year – iPhone Ultra, AirPods Ultra, and MacBook Ultra.

The iPhone Ultra will reportedly cost more than CNY 10,000, which is about $1,446 at current exchange rates, and its top-tier version will be more than CNY 20,000, or about $2,893. If this rumor pans out then the entry model is cheaper than expected, and we’re not sure why the gap between the cheapest and most expensive model in the line is so big.
The AirPods Ultra are the AirPods Pro that were recently rumored to come with a camera, while the MacBook Ultra is the one that is rumored to feature an OLED touchscreen for the first time in a MacBook. All of these, as the Ultra name suggests, will be the most expensive options in Apple’s respective stables – the most expensive phone, the most expensive earbud, and the most expensive laptop.
Of course, if this all comes to fruition. After all this is nothing more than an unconfirmed rumor at this point, so take it with a pinch of salt.
