New Oppo K12x arrives in India with military-grade body | Infinium-tech
The Oppo K12x 5G has been launched in India recently and has nothing to do with the phone of the same name in China. The new arrival borrows the design of the Oppo K12, but has a slightly different shape. The new phone has a MediaTek chipset and new cameras and is also more durable, as it has passed the MIL-STD-810H shock-resistance test.
The Oppo K12x features a 6.67″ LCD with HD+ resolution and up to 120 Hz refresh rate. Oppo said it is the first phone in its segment to feature splash touch technology, which allows you to operate the screen with wet hands while the panel is also wet.
The chipset is the Dimensity 6300 and Oppo offers the phone with 6/128 GB or 8/256 GB of memory. The RAM can be expanded virtually, while the storage can be expanded up to 1 TB via a hybrid dual slot that can fit a micro SD card or a second nano SIM slot.
The phone has IP54 certification that protects the phone from water and dust. Its military-grade durability was tested in the Oppo labs, where it was dropped from a height of 1.4 meters from all six sides and dropped from four corners onto a marble floor.
The phone is also impressively thin – just 7.68mm, with the camera bump protruding slightly. The body weighs 186 grams and has a plastic frame all around.
The battery has a capacity of 5,100mAh and supports 45W SuperVOOC charging. It is promised to last for over four years, retaining at least 80% of its initial capacity.
On the back you get a 32 MP f/1.8 main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front you get a basic 8 MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
The Oppo K12x runs Color OS 14 on top of Android 14.
The Oppo K12x 5G is available in Breeze Blue and Midnight Violet colours. It is priced at INR12,999 ($155/€145) or INR15,999 ($190/€175) depending on the storage variant and will go on sale starting August 2 via Flipkart, Oppo India, and select offline stores.
