New Huawei Kirin chip to stick with 1+3+4 CPU architecture but with more powerful cores | Infinium-tech

Huawei is working on a new Kirin 9 series chip with better CPU performance. Leaksters from China revealed that the processor will have the same 1+3+4 architecture as the Kirin 9010 platform, but with more powerful cores.

The SoC will be an in-house project, and will be manufactured on 7nm Pro Plus technology.

The new Huawei Kirin chip will remain with the 1+3+4 CPU architecture but with more powerful cores

Huawei is working with China’s leading semiconductor maker SMIC to make its new Kirin chips. Company officials revealed earlier this year that it wants to further develop and work with 7nm process technology before moving on to 5nm and 3nm.

The new chip may or may not be launched in the Huawei Mate 70 series. The new flagships are still shrouded in mystery but some sources claim they will arrive next month.
