New and intriguing details about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 leak | Infinium-tech
Although it’s been just over a month since the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC went official, last week we’ve already heard some rumors about its successor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
More details have emerged in China today. Interestingly, it now looks like we will have both the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in the market next year.

Only the Pro version will support LPDDR6, and both SoCs will also differ in their GPUs. Both will be built using TSMC’s 2nm process, and use third-generation self-developed CPU cores in a 2+3+3 configuration.
The Pro version will reportedly be about $70 more expensive than this year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. If all this is true, it will be interesting to see which phone makers will choose to go with the 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro next year, and which will choose to save some money by choosing a non-Pro version.
