Motorola Edge 50 Neo chipset confirmed, might also get a ThinkPhone version | Infinium-tech
Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 50 Neo next month, and according to an online retailer the phone was said to feature the Dimensity 7300 chipset. Today, we got a confirmation that the midranger is indeed coming with the new MediaTek platform, as it appeared on Geekbench.
We can confirm the 4×2.5 GHz and 4×2.0 GHz core specs are the same as the Dimensity 7300, which is used in the Razr 50 foldable (under the name 7300X). This would be an improvement over the Edge 40 Neo, which had a CPU with two units clocked at 2.5 GHz, and the other six at 2.0 GHz.
The listing once again confirmed the 8GB RAM option and Android 14 out of the box, which are nothing short of amazing.
A separate scorecard from ThinkPhone 25 suggests that Motorola may re-brand the phone under its original Lenovo brand. The reason for suspicion is the similar chipset and overall performance results.
A new mid-range ThinkPhone would be most interesting as the previous phone launched in January 2023 had a premium chipset. It was primarily sold as a B2B product, and we wonder if the ThinkPhone 25 will also be business-first oriented with this somewhat unimpressive chip.
