Lava Blaze 3 5G unveiled with Dimensity 6300 chipset, Vibe Light | Infinium-tech
In July, the Lava Blaze X came with the Dimensity 6300 chipset and a fancy curved 6.67″ OLED display. This model was relatively expensive for a Blaze, with a starting price of ₹15,000. Now Lava is coming up with a more affordable option, also using the D6300, but starting at ₹10,000 (note that this is a promo price and includes bank offers).
Apart from the chipset, the Lava Blaze 3 5G is actually closer to the Blaze 2 5G than the X. This means it only comes with a 6.56” LCD with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the X had a 6.67” 120Hz OLED with FHD+ resolution.
Coming back to the chipset, it is paired with 6GB of RAM (and up to 6GB of virtual RAM) and 128GB of storage (UFS 2.2), which is expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB. The phone is launching with Android 14 and a promise of “no ads. No bloatware.” The 5G modem supports all the sub-6GHz bands that Indian carriers have acquired.
Additional connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.2, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers. The fingerprint reader is mounted on the side and can unlock the phone in 0.24 seconds (which is three times faster than the face unlock system).
Talking about the camera system, it is also close to the Blaze 2 5G but it has a new twist – Vibe Light. This is a secondary ring light, which has a warmer tone than the primary ring light above it. Talking about the cameras, it has a 50MP main and 2MP auxiliary camera on the back, along with an 8MP selfie punch hole in the display.
The battery is nothing special, a 5,000mAh Li-Po cell with 18W charging over USB-C. It takes a little over 2 hours (135 minutes) to charge from 0-100%.
The Blaze series tries to keep at least some premium features despite its price, such as a glass back. For this model, you can choose from Glass Blue and Glass Gold colorways. The device is basically the same size as its predecessor, measuring 164.3 x 76.2 x 8.6 mm and weighing 201 grams.
