Kuo: non-Pro iPhone 16 models are facing underwhelming demand | Infinium-tech
According to the latest report from longtime Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are facing huge demand, and Apple is reportedly looking at 10 million in orders between now and the first half of next year. Unit has been cut.
Total production of the iPhone 16 series for Q4’24 is now expected to be 80 million units. This is down from the previous estimate of 84 million, which was down from 90-91 million units for the iPhone 15 series last year. iPhone 16 series production is estimated to fall to 45 million units in Q1’25 and 39 million units for Q2’25.
Kuo also reiterated his pessimistic views on Apple Intelligence as a demand driver for the iPhone 16 series. In related news, Kuo suggests that iPhone SE4 production will kick off in December, with Apple aiming to produce around 8.6 million units of its upcoming budget device between then and Q1 ’25.
