Korean Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Geekbench run brings some good news for Exynos haters | Infinium-tech
In January, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra designed for North America appeared on Geekbench powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It was joined by the vanilla S26 destined for North America, also using the same chip.
A few days ago, the Korean Galaxy S26 with the Exynos 2600 SoC hit Geekbench, and now the Korean S26 Ultra has been spotted in the benchmark’s database. The good news is that the Korean version is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
So it’s very likely that the S26 Ultra will use that SoC worldwide, unlike its siblings which will definitely be mixed in the Exynos 2600 in some markets.
The model number of the S26 Ultra for Korea is SM-S948N, and the prototype running on Geekbench had 12GB of RAM. The phone will apparently boot Android 16 from day one, with Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 on top of it. The Galaxy S26 family is expected to be unveiled on February 25.
