Apple’s first foldable, widely called the iPhone Fold, is rumored to launch next year. Although expectations are high, a new report now paints a clearer picture of the impact foldable smartphones will have on the market.
According to a report by market research firm IDC, foldable iPhones are expected to capture more than 22% share of the global foldable market in 2026.

According to the firm, the iPhone Fold is projected to capture 34% of the foldable market value due to its rumored $2,400 price tag.
It is reported that due to the foldable iPhone, Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold and Huawei’s foldable, consumer interest in the foldable smartphone category has increased.

According to IDC, foldable phones will continue to outperform the broader smartphone market in 2026 and are projected to account for more than 10% of its total value by 2029.
The iPhone Fold is rumored to have a 5.8-inch cover screen, a 7.58-inch internal flexible display, and a larger battery than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
