iPhone Air 2 once again rumored to gain a second rear camera, maybe even a lower price | Infinium-tech
An interesting new rumor today confirms that there will be an iPhone Air 2 (even though it may only arrive in spring 2027), and that it will add a second camera. This was first rumored last month, and it’s nice to get this kind of ‘confirmation’ (as much as any rumor can count).
Although today’s report doesn’t mention what the second camera will be, the one rumored in November was an ultrawide. This sort of thing makes sense since the main camera can do up to 2x zoom cropping with good results, but there’s no way for it to simulate a wider field of view.

The iPhone Air 2 is also said to be cheaper than its predecessor in the US, which would be quite shocking – firstly, because phones have only gotten more and more expensive over the years, never cheaper; And second, because this is Apple we’re talking about, and the company really likes its profit margins.
So make us skeptical on this. The iPhone Air starts at $999, so if the Air 2 were to be cheaper, it would probably start at $899 since Apple doesn’t really like $50 increases to iPhone pricing. The price cut, if it happens, combined with a second camera and possibly a larger battery, could help make the iPhone Air 2 more attractive than its predecessor. only time will tell.
