iPhone 17e debuts with A19 chipset and MagSafe charging | Infinium-tech

As expected, Apple’s product launch week has begun, with the iPhone 17e being the first to arrive. The latest affordable iPhone is very similar to last year’s 16e, but offers a few upgrades while maintaining the same price.

For starters, the iPhone 17e is now powered by Apple’s A19 chip, albeit with a 4-core GPU. However, the device features the latest C1X modem, which is claimed to offer better connectivity.

On the front, the phone features a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 2532×1170 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a notch for the Face ID system and selfie camera. However, the screen is now protected by the new Ceramic Shield 2 glass.

On the rear, the iPhone 17e gets a single 48MP camera with OIS and 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video recording support. Apple claims that portrait performance is now better thanks to the new image processing pipeline.

There is a 12MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling.

The iPhone 17e also now gets MagSafe, which enables compatibility with many accessories. It also supports 15W wireless and fast wired charging.

Other specifications include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, IP68 rating, GPS, NFC, satellite connectivity, and eSIM support. It runs iOS 26 and comes with Apple Intelligence.

The price of the 256GB model of Apple’s new iPhone 17e starts at $599, while the 512GB variant is priced at $799. It is available in black, white and new soft pink finishes. Pre-orders will start from March 4 and deliveries will start from March 11.
