Huawei nova 13 and 13 Pro go international, FreeBuds Pro 4 tag along | Infinium-tech
The Huawei nova 13 series is going global and the two phones are joined by the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 for selfie lovers.
The Huawei Nova 13 and 13 Pro are inspired by plaid and use a unique nano-scale pattern to create a crosshatch look. Loden Green is the hero color, and they’re available in black and white (a purple version is not coming).
The Huawei Nova 13 Pro display is a 6.78” LTPO panel with variable refresh and Always-On Display (AOD) mode. The phone is IP65 rated, so it can survive accidental encounters with water – and the Splash Touch feature ensures the touchscreen remains usable.
The Pro model has not one but two telephoto cameras – a 12MP 69mm unit on the back and an 8MP 52mm unit on the front. This gives it extra flexibility when shooting portraits (self-portrait or otherwise). The 50MP main camera on the rear has an adjustable aperture (f/1.4 to f/4.0) which allows it to perform better in different lighting conditions and it has OIS to help in the dark.
The vanilla Huawei Nova 13 has a more basic 50MP camera on the back with a fixed f/1.9 aperture and no OIS. Both phones use the same 8MP ultrawide camera.
Both phones also have 60MP ultrawide selfie cameras (17mm, 100°) for group selfies. The AI Best Expression feature debuts with the Nova 13 series – it works on individuals and groups, automatically scanning and choosing the best expression for each person.
Both Nova 13 phones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging. The Pro is slightly faster and its battery can reach 50% in 9 minutes, with the vanilla model requiring a minute more.
The Huawei nova 13 comes in a 12/256 GB version in Black, White and Green versions. It will retail for €549. The Nova 13 Pro has the same three color options, but offers 512GB of storage along with 12GB of RAM. Its price will be €699.
Huawei is introducing a new brand of audio, called Huawei Sound, and kicks things off with the FreeBuds Pro 4, which are emblazoned with the “Huawei Sound” logo in gold.
The buds have a dual-driver design, featuring an 11mm quad-magnet dynamic driver. They can stream up to 2.3Mbps lossless audio (24-bit, 48Kbps), although this depends on phone compatibility (older models such as the Pura 70 Pro drop to 1.5Mbps, other phones drop to 990Kbps ).

For passive noise isolation, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 come with shaped memory foam ear tips. For phone calls, the buds combine four mics (three conventional and one bone conducting mic), as well as AI noise reduction to provide clear audio even in challenging environments – Huawei claims it eliminates up to 100dB of noise. (think nightclub level sound) or strong winds up to 10 m/s.
The buds have dual device connection, so they can be paired with your phone and laptop and will automatically switch as needed. They also have a wear detection feature, which stops them when you take them out. But you won’t need to do that because head-motion control allows you to control them with a simple nod.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 is available in black, white and green colors. They will retail for €199 and availability in each market will be announced separately.
