Huawei Mate 70 series is now up for pre-order, sale begins tomorrow | Infinium-tech
Huawei introduced the Mate 70 series last week and today the phones became available for pre-order. The company is offering all four models on its store WeMall and third-party retailers – Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design.
All four phones share an unnamed chipset about which Huawei deliberately does not want to give details. However, a teardown revealed the Kirin 9020 platform with an 8-core, 12-thread CPU with one 2.5 GHz core, three 2.15 GHz cores, and four 1.6 GHz cores; The GPU runs at 840 MHz.
The Huawei Mate 70 comes with 12GB RAM and three storage options – 256GB priced at CNY5,499, 512GB priced at CNY5,999 and 1TB priced at CNY6,999.
The Huawei Mate 70 Pro has a larger screen, an improved telephoto camera, Face ID technology, and a powerful battery with fast charging. These specs cost CNY1,000 more – CNY6,499 for 256 GB, CNY6,699 for 512 GB and CNY7,999 for 1 TB. Early adopters can choose the 512GB version with HarmonyOS Next, which sells for the same price.

The Mate 70 Pro+ packs a 5,700mAh battery and 16GB of RAM, while the rest of the specifications remain the same as the Pro. This small increase means that the 512 GB storage option is priced at CNY8,499, while the 1 TB variant is priced at CNY9,499.
The Mate 70 RS Ultimate design is a step above the rest with a dual-layer OLED with 3,500 nits brightness and basalt-tempered Kunlun glass on top. Users willing to pay extra for the panel and flashy design will have to drop CNY11,999 for the 512GB version or CNY12,999 for the 1TB option.
Huawei will begin deliveries of the Mate 70 series tomorrow, December 5th. Any interested international users will have to rely on gray imports to get their hands on these flagships as we don’t expect any of these phones to launch globally.
