The Huawei Mate 70 series was coming, and now we know when. CBG division CEO Richard Yu revealed that the phones will arrive on November 26.

The executive didn’t provide further details, but he did confirm that a new luxury car brand called Maextro will also be launched.

Yu revealed the date during an interview at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show. This announcement is surprising as Huawei Mobile’s social media accounts are still silent on the matter.

We expect to see at least four phones – Huawei Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS Ultimate. All of them should feature HarmonyOS Next, Huawei’s first OS that is reportedly not based on an AOSP build.

The phones may also feature a new HiSilicon chip, called Kirin 9100. The report claims that it is built by SMIC on the 6nm node and could be equivalent to the Snapdragon 888 or Dimensity 9000.
