Honor Magic8 Pro unboxing – GSMArena.com news | Infinium-tech
We brought the Honor Magic8 Pro back with us from China, and while we were tinkering with Honor’s latest flagship, we thought, why not do an unboxing?
It’s a short and sweet job – you get a USB cable, a SIM eject tool, and the phone. Depending on the model, you can enjoy 100W (global) or 120W (Chinese) charging speeds, but you’ll need to provide your own charger.

We got a chance to see the blue-ish Mint Magic8 Pro during Honor’s announcement event, and now we also have the silver-ish Gold. They share the wavy lines that are visible on the rear panel under certain lighting.

One major improvement on the Magic8 Pro is the telephoto camera. The sensor, while still a 200MP 1/1.4-inch unit, is the new ISOCELL HP9, and it’s an imager developed with zoom cameras in mind. The second improvement is the lens, which is now a native 85mm f/2.6 unit (up from 72mm).

Finally, on a related note, the Magic8 Pro adds a dedicated camera control button, which the Magic7 Pro did not have. But unlike most phones that use capacitive buttons, the Magic8 Pro has a physical button (just like the iPhone), and it’s a better implementation. The physical feedback you get is better than the vibration you get on some competing phones.
