Honor Magic V5 unboxing and hands-on | Infinium-tech
After weeks of hype, Honor Today unveiled the Honor Magic V5 at an event in China, which was the successor of last year’s Magic V3. Magic V5 is an incredibly thin and light foldable phone, powered by a flagship chipset. We have received one in our office for a review, but before we put it through its pace, let’s do a quick unboxing what to offer to the latest foldable of Honor.
Now, let’s talk about the design. Honor Magic V5 comes in Ivory White, Black, Don Gold and Radish Brown Colors. Our Ivory is a white model, which is a hair thin and lighter than the other three versions.
Ivory White Magic V5 is 4.1 mm thick when it comes out and is 8.8 mm thick, while other models measure 4.2 mm and 9 mm in their unfolded and fold states, respectively. At 217g, the Ivory White version of Honor Magic V5 is 5G lighter than other models.
In comparison, the lightest version of Honor Magic V3 weighs 226g, which measures 4.35 mm when it is revealed and 9.2 mm when twisted. Even honor managed to pack a large battery inside the 5,150 mAh cell of Magic V5: 5,820 MAH vs V3.

The Honor Magic V5 also features Qualcomm’s head Snapdragon 8 Elite Sok under the hood, with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Its folding display “measures” 7.95 while the cover screen has a diagonal of 6.43 “.
