Introduction
The flip season may seem that it is curved down, stealing iPhones and Pixel Spotlights, and a lot of Galaxy Flip and Motorola Razra reviews are already behind us. But the story is not over yet. Honor has joined the stage with his own foldable – Elegant honor Magic V Flip 2.
You can be forgiven for remembering its launch – Honor has not announced any plan for an international release beyond China. Nevertheless, it is a complicated device, and we were eager to review to see how it piles up, especially looking at the strong track records of the Honor with the magic V number series.
The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is a high -end lameshell that comes a year after the original V Flip and improves every aspect of the pioneer – design, screen, performance, camera, battery. In addition to its mainstream colors – purple, silver, and gray – this is our striking Limited Pro. Jimmy Chu Yeng Kate Obi Edition can also be found in shimmering blue, which features a special design, bundle perks and a custom UI theme.
But let’s start with the basics. The Honor Magic V Flip 2 introduces a better foldable design with IP58 and IP59 water resistance, a better hinge, and internal 6.82-inch 1232p ltpo OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rates with a better hinge, and Creasless UTG. The 4 “cover screen has the same abilities as internal one, with 10-bit depth, dolby vision video support and incredibly high peak shine.
Chipset has seen a huge update – this is Snapdragon 8 General 3, which is from General 1 inside the original V Flip.
There are two cameras behind this flip – 200MP primary for 4x zoom, and 50MP ultravide shooter with macro capabilities. Let’s not forget the 50mp selfie camera with autofocus.
The new V Flip 2 is powered by a large 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Magic V Flip 2 looks like a great all-round foldable and makes some great improvements on its predecessor such as ingrace protection and wireless charging.
Honor Magic V Flip 2
The mainstream version of the magic V Flip 2 ship inside a gray box. The retail bundle includes an 80W charger, a USB cable and a transparent plastic case.
Our Prof. Jimmy Chu Yeng Kate Obi version comes in a large flickering blue box with two cases for the phone-a purple, half is transparent, while in the right case there is a sparkly finish, but completely transparent.
Naturally, USB-C cables from an 80W charger and USB-A are part of this bundle.
