Honor compares the Magic8 Pro to the iPhone 17 Pro for night photos, appoints new ambassador | Infinium-tech
Ahead of the official unveiling of the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro on October 15, Honor today appointed Nicholas Tse as its Future Technology Experience Officer. To celebrate the occasion, the brand has released a promo image which you can see below, in which Tse is holding the Magic8 Pro.
Tse is a Hong Kong actor, singer, songwriter, martial artist, entrepreneur and TV chef, and Honor says his journey of “identity evolution” reflects his constant reinvention, taking on more and more roles to become a multifaceted and ever-evolving icon.

This is in line with the Magic8 series’ AI “self-evolution” concept, where the device’s hardware is meant to power AI that learns your habits, anticipates your needs, and adapts itself over time.
Honor has also released a promo video comparing the Magic 8 Pro with the iPhone 17 Pro at high altitude. They both capture night scenes from a helicopter, and do you care to guess which device makes better shots? Of course it’s the Magic8 Pro – it’s a video made by Honor after all.
The phone is expected to have a 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide and 200 MP periscope telephoto with 85 mm focal length, f/2.6 aperture and 1/1.4″ type sensor. It was teased in more detail a few days ago.
