Here’s the official statement from Realme regarding a recent report of staff layoffs in India | Infinium-tech
Last week, a media report claimed that Realme is laying off employees on a large scale in India, starting with its sales team. This development comes after a report from China claimed that Realme is merging with Oppo to become a sub-brand of what was initially Realme. Today, we received an official statement from Realme’s Indian arm, confirming that it was undergoing an organizational restructuring in India, but that it was not related to “any other brand.”

Realme also said it remains committed to India, its largest market outside China, and its product, retail presence and service commitments will remain unaffected.
Here is the full statement from Realme India:
“This adjustment is part of realme India’s ongoing organizational optimization and is in line with general industry standards. This adjustment is unrelated to any other brand. Our products, retail presence and service commitments are completely unaffected. realme is deeply committed to the Indian market and will continue to uphold our mission of making technology more accessible, serving millions of users, and creating sustained long-term value.”
