Gurman: Apple to unveil its smart glasses at WWDC 2027 | Infinium-tech

A new report claims that Apple will introduce its first smart glasses in June 2027, with the commercial launch expected later this year. The report also suggests that the company is preparing to introduce its latest smartwatch in 2026.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman claims that Apple plans to unveil its long-rumored smart glasses at WWDC 2027, giving developers time to create apps before the product’s commercial release.

Apple smart glasses, codenamed N50, were originally scheduled to launch this year. However, the company reportedly postponed the launch amid growing privacy concerns over smart glasses, giving it more time to address those issues and further refine the product.

Gurman also says that Apple is preparing to unveil the Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 later this year. Three new smartwatch models are reportedly in the final stages of testing, including Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants of the Watch Series 12, codenamed N237 and N238 respectively, as well as the Watch Ultra 4, codenamed N240.

The upcoming smartwatches are not expected to introduce major design changes, but they are expected to feature a new chipset with improved health and fitness tracking capabilities. Gurman says a new Watch SE is unlikely to arrive in 2026, as Apple launched the Watch SE 3 last year.
