Google’s Quick Share now works with Apple’s AirDrop, but there’s a catch | Infinium-tech
Google’s Quick Share works for Android the same way AirDrop works for Apple’s ecosystem, and now Google has announced that the two are finally compatible.
So now you can share things between iPhones and Android devices, as long as those Android devices are from Google’s Pixel 10 family. That’s the problem – for now, it only works on those smartphones.
Undoubtedly, Google will open it up to more devices in the next months or years, but from the beginning it will keep this functionality exclusive to its latest Pixels.
There’s really no need to explain how it works – to share stuff from the Pixel 10 to an Apple device, just use Quick Share as you normally would when sharing with an Android device. And vice versa. This is all supposed to be “just working”.
