Google Wallet now tracks your flight on your home screen | Infinium-tech
In October, Google said it would give Google Wallet on Android the ability to track live flight updates on your home screen via a persistent notification, and it’s now finally live.
These live updates will appear if you’ve previously added Boarding Pass to Google Wallet. By doing this you already get notifications about updates like boarding times and gate changes, and Wallet also uses its Gmail integration to remind you to check if you haven’t added boarding passes for flight bookings to your email.
Now, if you are on Android 16, you will also get persistent notification which you can see in the screenshot above. This activates shortly before takeoff, and you’ll get your estimated time of arrival, as well as a progress bar showing the duration of the flight and how much of it you’ve already flown.
If you tap this notification, you’ll be taken to the normal tickets page with a link to Google Flights below that opens as a web search result.
