Google is going to announce the Pixel 9 at an event tomorrow, but today the company’s focus is on the Pixel 8. The special thing is that the Pixel 8 is now made in India.
Google India’s X account has proudly revealed the fact that the production of the first Pixel 8 devices made in India has begun.

Of course, there is no difference between the Pixel 8 made in India and any other Pixel 8. They are all the same on the inside.
So you get the same 6.2-inch 120Hz OLED screen with 2,000-nit peak brightness, Google Tensor G3 chipset, 8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, 50MP main camera with OIS, 12MP ultrawide with autofocus, 10.5MP selfie snapper, and a 4,575mAh battery with support for 27W wired and 18W wireless charging.

It’s interesting and a little odd that Google has announced this milestone just 24 hours before the Pixel 9 steals the spotlight from the Pixel 8, but it is what it is. Hopefully, the company will take less time than its official announcement tomorrow to start production of the Pixel 9 in India.
