Google Pixel 11 series now rumored to have a new modem from MediaTek | Infinium-tech
In December 2024, the then upcoming Pixel 10 devices were rumored to use a MediaTek modem, but it has not happened and they are still packing the same Samsung-made exinos modem as their predecessors.
However, all this can change with Pixel 11 tools next year, which is now rumored – you guessed it – Use a MediaTek modem, especially M90. This will definitely be paired with Google’s tensor G6 SoC.
That is, if this rumor comes out. Take it with a heavy dose of salt, given how the switch in Google’s MediaTek is already rumored and not happened.
Anyway, if this happens, it will be interesting to see how Pixel 11 phones will rent with connectivity compared to their predecessors. The M90 was unveiled in February, and 12GBPS supports the peak downlink performance. It aligns with 3GPP release 17 and 18, and supports both sub -6 5G and MMWAVE with 5G dual sim dual -activated with data. There is also satellite connectivity built-in, so in all it seems like a wonderful option for the next flagship of Google. Let’s just wait and see if this rumor comes true.
