Google confirms plans to merge ChromeOS into Android | Infinium-tech
A Google executive officially confirmed rumors that Android and Chromos were merging into a single operating system. Sameer Samat, who is the chairman of Android Ecosystem at Google, admitted that Android and Chromos would be added to the same platform.

This is not the first time we have heard of Google’s plan to merge Chrome OS in Android, but there was no official confirmation before Google. Android is obtaining specific features for large screen, including a dedicated desktop mode, increased windowing capabilities and better scaling for various screen sizes.
The previous report suggested that Google’s purpose with the move is to become more competitive with Apple’s iPad. This will allow users to work more on Android Tablet. Google is also rumored to work on a pixel laptop, which will help it to expand its product ecosystem even further.
