Global smartphone shipments barely grow in Q2, Samsung retains lead | Infinium-tech
Latest report from International Data Corporation (IDC) The April-June (Q2) shows a modest 1% year-to-year growth for global smartphone shipment during a period. It is traditionally one of the difficult periods for smartphone manufacturers, and there were many comprehensive economic factors that affected global demand. Tariff volatility, foreign currency instability, unemployment including unemployment and inflation, combined with weak demand in China, all contributed to flat development.

After the brand moved to the actual breakdown, Samsung led the route with an estimated 58 million shipments and 19.7% market share. The recently launched new Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 were the major development driver for the model brand.

Apple came second with an estimated 46.4 million shipments and 15.7% market share. Cupertino saw a double-point increase in emerging markets, but despite being a leading brand in China during the 618 e-commerce festival, experienced a 1% decline in sales in China.
Xiaomi was the third leading brand on the global platform with 42.5 million shipments and 14.4% market share, which contributed to the pure 0.6% year-by-year change. Vivo finished fourth with 27.1 million shipments and 9.2% market share, while Transsen (Infinix, Tecno, ITEL) captured fifth position with 25.1 million quarterly shipments and 8.5% market share.
Despite the ongoing economic difficulties and uncertainties, a positive growth in global shipment suggests that the global smartphone market is primary to increase in the coming months.
