Galaxy S26 series could support satellite communication | Infinium-tech
The Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to launch next month, may come with satellite communication support. All three models in the lineup have appeared on the FCC database, revealing details about their connectivity features.
According to the FCC listing for the US variants of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra, all three models support supplemental coverage from space (SCS) and non-terrestrial network (NTN) technologies.
The presence of these technologies confirms that the Galaxy S26 series will support satellite communications. This will allow users to send and receive text messages even in areas without cellular coverage. However, this feature is likely to be limited to certain areas.
The FCC documents also reveal that the phones will offer Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth LE, NFC, and Ultra Wideband (UWB) connectivity.
Notably, Samsung could partner with Skylo to enable satellite calling and messaging, as suggested in an earlier report related to the Exynos modem 5410.
