Firefox lets you disable all AI-powered features | Infinium-tech
After Google and Microsoft added AI-powered features to their Chrome and Edge browsers, Firefox quickly followed suit and provided a handful of AI features to its users. These include AI tools for tab grouping, AI-powered translation, and even instant access to AI chatbots.

However, not everyone agrees with the companies’ new AI push, and many users have expressed their dissatisfaction over Mozilla’s decision to shove yet another AI functionality down the throats of users. That’s why Firefox is adding an AI kill switch with the upcoming February 24 update.
Enzor-DeMeo, CEO of Mozilla, said that choice matters, and he believes that the AI features added to Firefox, as well as those coming in the near future, are useful, and that users can trust Mozilla with the data collected. Nevertheless, a toggle is being released to turn off all AI features.
Some users appreciate AI tools and find them useful, but many others do not want to use them at all or cite privacy concerns. Anyhow, unlike many other tech giants, it’s good to see Mozilla sticking to its promise and giving users the freedom to opt out of AI.
